About Piglins
edit_squarePiglins are a nomadic tribe of humanoid pig-like mobs inhabiting the Nether in Animation vs. Minecraft Shorts. Fierce, loyal, and traditionally hostile to outsiders not wearing gold, this tribe plays a crucial role in The Piglin War, The King, and The Ultimate Weapon. They are constantly at war with the Zombified Piglins.
Appearance
The Piglin Tribe consists of eight core members:
The Chief, who wears golden armor
Four swordsmen
Two archers
The Baby Piglin, smaller in size and unarmored
They typically wear leather armor, except the Chief. The tribe travels on two hoglins and eleven striders, used for traversing lava lakes in the Nether.
Personality
Piglins are highly territorial and aggressive toward strangers not wearing golden armor. Initially, they attacked Blue when he approached them without proper gear. However, their behavior shifted after Blue saved the Baby Piglin's life. From that point on, they welcomed him even without gold, showing a deep respect for heroism and loyalty.
The Piglin Chief is stern, cautious, and deeply protective—especially of the Baby Piglin. Though his authority is respected by all, he is not unkind. His willingness to help Blue and later the rest of the Stick Gang, even after conflict, shows a capacity for trust and gratitude. He demonstrates a clear moral compass, often balancing wariness of strangers with a strong sense of honor.
The Baby Piglin is notably different—cheerful, trusting, and always eager to help. Curious and playful, it tends to befriend outsiders before its tribe does. Its passive nature and bravery set it apart, and it frequently plays a key role in bridging the gap between the Piglins and the Stick Figures.
Powers & Abilities
Combat Skill
The adult Piglins are skilled fighters, with both melee and ranged capabilities.
The Chief is an experienced leader, often taking charge in both travel and battle.
The tribe shows excellent coordination in both defense and offense, especially when riding their mounts.
Mount Mastery
The Piglins travel long distances across lava using hoglins and striders.
The Chief is seen expertly guiding the caravan through the Nether’s hazardous terrain using warped fungus to control the striders.
Potion Immunity & Resistance
During encounters with both Blue and the Stick Gang, the Piglins demonstrate great durability, often holding their ground against overwhelming odds.
Trust & Allyship
The Piglins initially follow the in-game mechanic of attacking players not wearing gold.
However, after Blue’s heroic actions, they demonstrate the ability to recognize allies and no longer follow the mechanic strictly, even choosing to protect Blue and the other stick figures regardless of armor.
Final Stand & Sacrifice
In The King, the tribe joins the Stick Figures in an attempt to stop the singularity caused by King Orange’s staff.
The Chief personally escorts Blue on his hoglin and provides warped fungus before they are disintegrated by the black hole.
Their sacrifice aids in saving the Overworld, and they are later restored once the world is recreated.

Trivia
There are eight core members in the tribe: the Chief, four swordsmen, two archers, and the Baby Piglin.
The tribe uses two hoglins and eleven striders (though twelve striders were initially shown, one seems to be missing later).
The Piglin Chief may be the Baby Piglin’s father, based on his deep protective instincts, though this is unconfirmed.
The tribe’s behavior evolves beyond vanilla Minecraft mechanics, showcasing deeper emotional intelligence and growth.
