Endie is a major protagonist in Animation vs. Minecraft Shorts, first appearing in Monster School. Unlike other endermen featured in the series, Endie plays a significant role in the overall story, developing from a school bully to a reluctant hero.
Endie resembles a typical Minecraft enderman but is distinguishable by his visible elbow and knee joints, allowing for more expressive movement and animation. As part of the Yellow Team in Monster School, he wears a yellow bandana tied around his head.
Initially apathetic and somewhat petty, Endie doesn't stand out among his classmates until Red accidentally lands on his head, provoking his temper. Following this incident, Endie begins to bully Red alongside the other students, driven by amusement and minor revenge. His low academic performance—receiving four D-s and one C—suggests that he doesn’t take school seriously.
Even after Red saves him, Endie remains bitter and ungrateful, refusing to acknowledge Red’s help. However, over time, he undergoes a gradual change of heart. Eventually, Endie recognizes Red’s efforts and ultimately sides with him during the battle against King Orange, marking a turning point in his character development.
Despite his tough exterior, Endie has a flawed combat style. He prefers to intimidate and taunt opponents rather than engage directly, which often leaves him open to attacks. Still, with Red’s guidance, he learns to harness his own strength and becomes a capable fighter.
Teleportation: Endie has the standard enderman ability to teleport, which he can also use to transport others by physically grabbing them. This proves useful for dodging attacks or escaping tight situations.
Strength: Endie is surprisingly strong, capable of defeating Steve clones with a single strike. The full extent of his strength remains unknown.
Taunting Combat Style: Endie often attempts to psych out his opponents with intimidation rather than brute force. However, this leaves him vulnerable to counterattacks.
Low Speed: In races and physical challenges, Endie lags behind most of the class. He seems to rely heavily on teleportation rather than physical agility.
